WARRANTY INFORMATION
Modern Fence Supplies Ltd as a distributor and supplier of approved aluminium grade products for fence and gates within New Zealand confirm all products are inspected prior to dispatch on all orders for any faults or defects. In the unlikely instance that you receive any of our fence or gate products with a defect being related to;
1. The Material or;
2. The product has become defective inside the specified warranty period stated at time of purchase;
Then the consumer/purchaser must immediately contact the supplier – Modern Fence Supplies Ltd – (MFS) and advise of the defective fault. Please do not carry out installation or repair of the product if the defect is found at time of receiving the goods as this could void further warranty resolution. Proof and date of purchase from invoice will be required before any warranty claim can proceed.
WARRANTY TERMS:
Fence, Gates & Posts
All products as listed left, are guaranteed 10-year structural manufacturer warranty on workmanship and aluminium material from the invoice date stated.
Powdercoating
Fence, Gates & Posts - All products as listed left, are guaranteed 5-year powder coating warranty – (not included if product is within 2 kilometres of salty or corrosive water on coasts – see below items not covered)
Key Automation Products
Automation products are guaranteed 2-year (24 months) warranty from date of purchase from the invoice date stated.
WARRANTY ITEMS NOT COVERED OR MAY BE PARTIALLY CAUSED BY ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Any natural flora or plants grown on or over the product causing extensive damage with moss or mould build up – the product needs to be fully accessible to allow for the recommend washes (see our maintenance care information for more specific details on care instructions)
- Harsh Water blasting of fence, gates or posts from a short distance (Under 2m) that strips the protective layer of Powdercoating causing parts to peel and strip
- Use of any chemicals, garden fertilisers/chemicals or harsh abrasive products that come in contact or used on the product
- Installation faults by consumer/purchaser not following install instructions.
- PS1 approved materials only recommended for product use. Any products not used as directed within the PS1 will void warranty.
- Misuse or lack of care with product causing damage such as scraping, dropping, dragging etc
- Damage from any external objects or machinery used on the products not intended for its purpose
- Failure to follow and up-keep the recommended maintenance care information recommended by Modern Fence Supplies.
- Corrosion from harsher environmental factors and the like where it is clear upon warranty inspection the recommended maintenance care information has not been followed.
- Major wear and tear or unforeseen defects caused by an act of God
- Any product installed within 2 kilometre of salty or corrosive water on coasts, beaches and salt pools
- Any DIY repairs or modifications carried out on the defected product by the consumer to try rectifying i.e angle grinding or cutting etc.
WARRANTY INFORMATION FOR MODERN FENCE SUPPLIES AS A DISTRIBUTOR
OF KEY AUTOMATION PRODUCTS
AUTOMATION (GATES, LIGHTS & BOOM GATES)
- Key Automation products 2 years – (24 months) warranty from date of purchase validated by date and proof of purchase via invoice or the like.
- Warranty is limited exclusively in line with Key Automation Pty Ltd Warranty terms and adherers to the strict repair or approved replacement free of charge parts recognised by Key Automation as due to only faulty material or to errors in workmanship. Any complaints about apparent defects needs to be disclosed to Modern Fence Supplies no later than 6 days from discovery/installation as soon as apparent before the specified time. All repair or replacement costs via delivery of returned or replacement product are the responsibility of the consumer/purchaser if drop off/collection in store is not viable.
- Defects resulting from installation, connection, or interaction of its products with other associated automation products will void the warranty. Key Automation products can only be used in combination with other Key Automation’s products, failing which this warranty will cease to be effective.
- Defects resulting from not following correct installation guide instructions, correct wiring of electrical codes, voltage capacities, ranges and care maintenance will also cease the warranty to be valid.
